INFECTION CONTROL

Using SCONE™ for Triage and Emergent Procedures

The SCONE™ provides an extra "ACTIVE" layer of barrier protection for HCWs to be used as an adjunct to PPE when suspicion or confirmation of airborne transmittable disease is present. The highest risk period for transmission is during emergency room triage, transport of patients in and through facilities, and aerosol generating procedures that emit virus size particulates. The SCONE™ can be safely and efficiently integrated into existing protocols to create new strategies of treating patients in emergency settings, even before their test results come back if needed.

SCONE™ can be used to create a safer environment when performing a variety of aerosol generating procedures. Learn more about the SCONE™ device.
